3 | Remove spark plugs | ||
4 | Connect compression recorder (1) | ||

5 | Crank engine with the contact switch of the compression recorder (1) | Crank engine several times to eliminate combustion residues. | |
| Checking | ||
6 | Assemble compression recorder (1) with sealing cone (4), adapter (3) and angle connection (2) | ||
7 | Insert diagram chart into compression recorder (1) | ||
8 | Press sealing cone (4) into the spark plug bore of the relevant cylinder | ||
9 | Open throttle valve fully | ||
10 | Crank engine with the contact switch of the compression recorder (1) | by at least eight revolutions and simultaneously press the sealing cone (4) firmly into the spark plug bore. | |
11 | Inspect remaining cylinders in the same way | ||
12 | Compare measurements obtained with the specified pressures | ||
If the pressure is below the minimum compression pressure or if the permissible difference between the individual cylinders is exceeded. | |||
Check cylinder leakage. | |||
13 | Remove compression recorder (1) | ||
14 | Install in the reverse order |
