Risk of injury by trapping and crushing when tilting the cab

While tilting the cab forward and back, do not get in the tilting area and take preventive measures to stop unauthorized people from getting in. Always tilt the cab to its final position and latch it with the safety device.

Tilting the cab

 When tilting, the front cover must be open.



Remove the right and left side top acoustic lining

Release the circuit 4 pressure of the compressed air system

Remove the spiral hoses and electric cables from the cab support

 Tractor vehicles

Remove the step over the gearbox

 Tractor vehicles

Remove the support bar (17) from the bracket (16)

7

Remove the ball articulation (14) from the shift lever (15)

8

Remove the compressed air pipe from the 3/2-way valve

With compressed air connection system "VOSS 230"

With compressed air connection system "VOSS 232" (NG 8, 12) or "SCHÄFER SDF" (NG 6)

Installing: Check the O-Rings, if necessary replace.



Remove the connector (11) from the control unit (7)

Remove the neutral switch (S9)

Fasten the reverse gear shift rod

Remove the lock bar for the Interlock

Remove the cover (1)

Installing: Replace the sealing (2).



Installing: Replace the closing cover (5) and install with chemical lock.

Heat-up the threaded pin (6) with the hot air gun and remove it from the control unit (7)

Installing: Install the threaded pin (6) with chemical lock.

Remove the shift segment (3)

Mark the assembly position.

Remove the lock-ring (4)

Remove the bolts of the gearbox support brackets on the chassis



Lightly suspend the gearbox

Remove the shift unit (7)

 Move the gearbox to the left side with an appropriate tool.

Installing: Clean the sealing surfaces and apply sealing compound.

Remove the distance washer (8) O-Rings (10) from the control unit (7)

Installing: Replace the O-Rings (10).

Remove the shift assembly (9)

 Move the gearbox to the right side with an appropriate tool.

Installing: Apply long lasting grease on the control's longitudinal teeth.

Clean the sealing surfaces and apply sealing compound.

Check the needle bearing of the bearing cover

In the case of wear or damage:



Replace the needle bearing of the bearing cover.
