Function sequence

Unlocking with radio frequency remote control

1 Prerequisites:
 Driver's and passenger doors closed and locked.

2 Unlocking operation was started with "unlock" button on radio frequency remote control (FFB) (1).

3 The FFB control module (A43) receives the "unlock" signal and relays it to the ZV/KSA control module (A23).

4 The signal causes the ZV/KSA control module to actuate the locking motor (M11) in the driver's door and the interior lighting in the cab. The locking motor in the driver's door moves to the "unlocked" position, unlocking the driver's door and switching on the interior lighting (entry lamps/interior lamps on driver's and passenger sides)
for max. 10 s.



 Only the driver's door is unlocked. The driver's door is locked again automatically if it is not opened within 25 s after unlocking.

 The interior lighting goes out immediately when the ignition is switched on within the 10 s. However, it remains switched on for max. 5 min. when one of the doors is opened and not closed again.

 On vehicles equipped for transport of hazardous goods (GGVS) unlocking with the radio frequency remote control is not possible. These vehicles have a battery separation switch, which interrupts the entire power supply when the ignition is switched off so that only mechanical unlocking is possible.
