Disconnect all electrical connectors in electrical wiring harness (2) in area of A-pillar and roof and expose electrical wiring harness (2)

If installed.

Remove paneling from left and right A-pillars

Disconnect all electrical connectors on electrical wiring harness (3) in front passenger footwell

Disconnect all electrical connectors (5) on dashboard in driver footwell

Disconnect connections and lines of instrument panel in vehicle interior

Disconnect connections and lines of dashboard in interior compartment

Remove air filter housing

 Warning

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Lift out instrument panel support with instrument panel


Set down instrument panel support with instrument panel on a soft support.
Otherwise the instrument panel may be damaged.

 Helper required.

Install in the reverse order

Check coolant level, correct if necessary


