1 Remove universal joint (1) from lower steering shaft (2).

2 Remove coolant hoses (3) from firewall.
Collect escaping coolant in a clean vessel.
3 Remove refrigerant lines (C, G) from expansion valve.
with code (HH9) Regulated air conditioning (Tempmatic) or with code (HH7) Additional air conditioning in rear.
4 Seal openings on refrigerant lines (C, G) and expansion valve with
stop plug.
