1 Unscrew nuts (5) and firewall passage (6) from steering shaft (4).
2 Unclip lower fuse strip (arrow) in driver footwell.
3 Remove condensate water hose (2) from passage on vehicle floor.
With code (HH9) Regulated air conditioning (Tempmatic) or. with code (HH7) Additional air conditioning in rear.
4 Disconnect connector (1) from Lowline airbag control unit or Highline airbag control unit below instrument panel center section
Depending on vehicle equipment.
5 Remove lines from power supply (3) on electric PTC heater booster (N33/4) and insulate positive battery cable.
With code (HH2) Electric heater booster.
