Use insulating mats. Wear protective clothing, safety glasses and a protective mask. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Use air extraction system.

Remove

Remove side paneling (1)

Only for vehicles with code C8Z(Aerodynamic side paneling).

Remove exhaust duct (3) from the EATU (2)

Remove exhaust duct (3) from the EATU (2)

 Do not tighten down screw/bolts for exhaust duct (3) yet.

Install side paneling (1)

Only for vehicles with code C8Z(Aerodynamic side paneling).

 After installation of the side paneling (1) the exhaust duct (3) must be aligned; in the process the spaces (A, B, C, D) of the exhaust duct (3) to the heat protection frame (4) must be approximately maintained.
Then tighten the screw/bolts of the exhaust duct (3).
The exhaust duct (3) must not touch the EATU (2) after tightening.

If the exhaust duct (3) touches the EATU (2)


