Danger!

Risk of scalding from hot coolant spraying out

Do not open cap of the expansion reservoir or radiator unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Turn cap carefully to the first detent or slacken one turn. Wear protective clothing.

Detach electrical line from coolant temperature sensor (1)

Remove coolant temperature sensor (1) from lower coolant connection

Installation: Replace sealing ring (2).

Install in the reverse order

Pour in coolant

Conduct a road test

Bleed retarder:

-If present and possible, switch off retarder foot control.

-Drive vehicle at 50 km/h.

-Switch on retarder in first brake stage 5 times for approx. 5 seconds each.
