The needle roller bearings and seals of the propeller shaft (1) will otherwise be damaged.

 Aid of helper required.

Slide retaining plate (4) onto propeller shaft (1).

Support and lash down transmission.

Remove propeller shaft(1) from front axle differential.

 Removal: Lower transfer case (9) in order to remove propeller shaft (1).

Pull propeller shaft(1) off splined profile(8) on transfer case(9).

Remove propeller shaft (1) downwards.

Check axle boot (6) for damage.

When reusing the drive shaft (1).

If complaint is present,



Install new seal bellows(6).

 The marking (arrow) on the output flange gearing must line up exactly with the marking (arrow) on the drive shaft (1).
