Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area.

Remove clamp (3)

Remove exhaust system (1) from bracket (4)

Remove front elastomer bearing from bracket (5)

Remove bracket (6) from body

Remove exhaust system (1)

 Helper required.



Install

Remove combustion and corrosion residues on the connecting points from exhaust system (1) and CAT (2)

Check front and rear elastomer bearings for damage and replace if necessary

15

Position exhaust system (1) on undercarriage and support



Attach holder (6) to body

 Bolt, bracket for suspension for rear exhaust system to body

Attach front elastomer bearing on bracket (5)

Tighten nuts for bracket (4) slightly by hand

Tighten new clamp (3) slightly by hand

Align exhaust system (1) tension-free

Tighten nut on bracket (4)

 Nut, decoupling element for front exhaust system to bracket

Tighten new clamp (3)

 Clamp at catalytic converter and front exhaust system

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
