Drive vehicle to alignment check bay

 The chassis alignment must be carried out on a horizontal, level and clean base.

An alignment check bay with a workshop pit is a substantial advantage.

Check prerequisites for chassis alignment

Move vehicle to driving level

 See operator's manual.
Ensure an adequate compressed-air supply throughout the entire measurement process.

Position vehicle on turnplates

Place front wheels in straight-ahead position

Mount the adjusting device with its profile rail on the center longitudinal member (14)



Push the adjusting device all the way in the direction of travel (arrows)

 The outer surfaces of the adjusting device must abut the tie rod intermediate levers (A) on both sides. If necessary change the position of the tie rod intermediate levers (A) by locking over the front wheels to the right or left.



Check center steering position on steering gear, adjust if necessary

Install axle measuring device

 Observe operator's manual of axle measuring device.

Measure

Measure toe-in

 Observe operator's manual of axle measuring device.

If the toe-in is incorrect

Detach adjusting device from longitudinal member (14)

 The adjusting device must be detached from the longitudinal member (14) before locking over the wheels otherwise damage to the steering components or adjusting device can occur.



Measure wheel angle
