Drive vehicle to alignment check bay

 The chassis alignment must be performed on a horizontal, level and clean underground.

An alignment check bay with a workshop pit is a substantial advantage.

Check prerequisites for chassis alignment

 Check preconditions for chassis alignment on front axle only.

Position vehicle on turnplates

Place front wheels in straight-ahead position

 If necessary, set scale on turnplates to "0", if the front wheels are in the straight-ahead position.

Turn steering wheel all the way to the left and determine the value for the wheel angle on the left wheel

 If the measured value does not lie in the tolerance range of the given value then the steering lock must be adjusted:



Turn steering wheel all the way to the right and determine the value for the wheel angle on the right wheel

 If the measured value does not lie in the tolerance range of the given value then the steering lock must be adjusted:

Check pressure reduction valves, adjust if necessary

 Only perform:

 if the steering assist is insufficient.

 if for steering 766.376 the wheel stop bolt on the front axle had to be removed.

 if for steering 765.860 the steering lock on the front axle did not match and had to be adjusted.
