Mount engine hoisting gear and raise engine

Only raise engine sufficiently that the engine mount (7) is not under tension.
Otherwise, the engine mount (7) will be damaged.

Remove left catalytic converter

Remove steering coupling

Remove screw/bolts (4) from the right and left engine support (8)

 Do not remove heat shields (3).

 Bolt, heat shield to engine support

Remove screw/bolt (5) from left engine mount (7)

 The left engine mount (7) remains on the front axle carrier.

Raise engine further

Ensure that during lifting that no cables and lines lie on the partition wall.
Damage can occur to cables and lines otherwise.

Remove screw/bolt (5) from right engine mount (7)

 The right engine mount (7) remains on the front axle carrier.

Release and disconnect electrical connectors (B)

Unclip electrical wiring harness of engine mounts (7) at heat shields of longitudinal members and place to one side

Lower front axle carrier

Take out right engine mount (7)

 Installation: Ensure that the correct installation position is obtained when assembling the engine mount (7)..

 Always replace engine mount (7) in pairs.

 Pay attention to environmental regulations for disposal of engine mounts (7). Dispose of engine mounts (7) into mixed scrap.

Remove screw/bolts (6) at left engine mount (7)

 Screw/bolt, front engine mount to front axle carrier

Take out left engine mount (7)

 Installation: Ensure that the correct installation position is obtained when assembling the engine mount (7)..

 Always replace engine mount (7) in pairs.

Install in the reverse order
