1 | Remove engine cover | Installation: Ensure correct seating of the engine cover. | |
2 | Remove engine intake air ducts upstream of air filter | ||
3 | Remove left and right air filter housing | ||
4 | Remove engine compartment covers (1, 2, 3, 4) | ||
5 | Detach coolant expansion reservoir (6) and place to one side with lines still connected | ||
6 | Detach windshield washer system washer fluid reservoir (5) and place to one side with lines still connected | ||
7 | Remove CDI control unit from holder and place to one side with attached lines | ||
8 | Mount adaptation plates (06) on engine hoist (03) | Engine lifting device | |

10 | Preinstall engine hoist adaptation (03) onto engine hoist (01) | For removing oil pan top section and engine mount or front engine support | |

11 | Preassemble engine hoist (01) | Observe the manufacturer's assembly specifications and safety information. | |

12 | Position preassembled engine hoist (01) with adapter (05) and adaptation plates (06) on suspension strut towers and longitudinal members | Do not crush any lines and hoses in the area of the longitudinal member. | |
13 | Align engine hoist (01) horizontally and tighten threaded connections | ||
14 | Attach shackle (04) to front and rear engine suspension lugs | ||
15 | Tighten rigging screw and tension lifting device (02) | Only raise engine sufficiently that the engine mounts are not under tension. | |
16 | Remove in the reverse order |
