 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Open hood

Remove cover over coolant expansion reservoir (2)

Unscrew cap (1) of coolant expansion reservoir (2)

Suction off coolant from coolant expansion reservoir (2)

 Hand pump

Disconnect electrical connection (5)

Detach coolant hoses (9) from coolant expansion reservoir (2)

Lift lock (3) and pull coolant lines (4) out of coolant expansion reservoir (2)

 Installation: Replace O-rings at coolant lines (4).

Remove screw (6) and lift coolant expansion reservoir (2)

Remove coolant hose (7) at coolant expansion reservoir (2)

Remove coolant expansion reservoir (2) in upward direction

 Installation: Make sure rubber bushings (8) are seated properly.

Install in the reverse order



Check

Check engine cooling system for leaktightness
