1 | Open hood. | ||
2 | Unscrew cap (1). | ||
3 | Set heating to max. heating output and switch on ignition. | ||

6 | Remove drain screw (3) and drain coolant from the radiator (2). | ||
7 | Tighten drain screw (3) on the radiator (2). | Drain screw to engine radiator | |

8 | Disconnect ground line from battery. | ||
9 | Remove right fender liner (4). | ||
10 | Remove heat shield (5) from exhaust gas turbocharger. | ||
11 | Remove one of the screw plugs (6) and drain coolant from the engine. | Select screw plug (6) according to accessibility. | |
12 | Tighten screw plug (6) on the engine. | Replace sealing ring. | |

13 | Install heat shield (5) on the exhaust gas turbocharger. | Screw/bolt, heat shield to exhaust gas turbocharger and engine brake valve fitting | |
14 | Install right fender liner (4). | ||
15 | Connect ground line to battery. | ||

16 | Check drained coolant for contamination. | In case of heavy contamination, replace coolant overall. | |

20 | Screw on cap (1). | ||
21 | Switch off engine. | ||
