 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove

1

Unscrew cap (1) slowly on coolant expansion reservoir (2) and relieve overpressure

2

Check coolant level and antifreeze content of coolant; correct if necessary

Screw tester cap (3) onto coolant expansion reservoir (2)

Connect pressure pump (4) at tester cap (3)

Apply a test pressure to the engine cooling system for 2 minutes


Do not exceed the specified test pressure.
Damage can occur on the engine cooling system otherwise.

 There should be no pressure loss within a period of 2 minutes.

Check condition and coolant loss for all coolant carrying assembly parts and connections and replace assembly parts if necessary

In the event of pressure loss.



Relieve test pressure over valve on pressure pump (4)

Remove pressure pump (4) from tester cap (3)

Unscrew tester cap (3) at coolant expansion reservoir (2).

Check coolant level and antifreeze content of coolant; correct if necessary
