Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove

Switch on ignition

Adjust heater to maximum heat output

Open cap (1) slowly on coolant expansion reservoir (2) and reduce overpressure

4

Check coolant level and antifreeze content coolant



 If antifreeze content of coolant is too low, either antifreeze protection must be added or the coolant must be replaced.

Attach tester cap (3) to coolant expansion reservoir (2)

Connect pressure pump (4) at tester cap (3)

Apply a test pressure to the engine cooling system

Test pressure for pressure-testing the engine cooling system

The specified test pressure must not be exceeded.



Damage will occur otherwise to the engine cooling system.

Check condition and coolant loss for all coolant carrying assembly parts and leaktightness



Replace assembly parts.



Install

Actuate pressure relief button on pressure pump (4) and relieve the pressure

Relieve test pressure in engine cooling system

Detach pressure pump (4) from tester cap (3)

12

Remove tester cap (3) on coolant expansion reservoir (2)

13

Switch off ignition

14

Check coolant level and antifreeze content coolant


