2 | Pressurize the compressed-air system up to cutoff pressure | The shutoff pressure must be reached so that the compressor is in the switch-off phase during the testing. | |
3 | Turn off engine | ||
4 | Switch on ignition | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted | Ensure that no one is within tilting range of cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt cab all the way to end position and secure with safety strut. | |

6 | Remove intake line (0.1) at resonator (0.2) | ||

8 | Remove air line (2.1) holder on timing case | ||
9 | Remove air line (2.1) on compressed air connection (2) | ||

10 | Start engine and run at idling speed | The compressor is in the switch-off phase. | |
11 | Check the control valve in the switch-off phase | If the control valve is not OK: | |
Replace cylinder head for the compressor. | |||

12 | Turn off engine | ||
13 | Lower reservoir pressure in the air brake system to about 4.5 bar | The reservoir pressure must be lowered so that the compressor is in the delivery phase for conducting the next check. | |
14 | Start engine and run at idling speed | The compressor is in the delivery phase. | |
15 | Check control valve in the delivery phase | If the control valve is not OK: | |
Replace cylinder head for the compressor. | |||

22 | Check area of the compressor for leaktightness | ||
23 | Turn off engine | ||
