 On engine blocks with cylinder liners, the surface of the cylinder liner collar must be flush with the engine block deck. For used engines a recess of up to 0.04 mm is permissible.

Check the engine block height (A)

 Observe that after machining the engine block deck, the engine block height (A), must correspond to one of the degrees of tolerance (normal/repair stage I/repair stage II/ repair stage III).

Machine the engine block deck (1), correcting eventual unevenness and/ or eliminating the cylinder liner protrusion

Longitudinal feed   800-1000 mm/min
Vertical feed (each pass)           0.03 mm
Cutting speed Vs = 27 m/s
