As part of warranty and goodwill checks we are finding again and again an unauthorized compilation of operation items with regard to the operation items used.
This compilation reflects the complete work contents for carrying out the repair. The variety of situations in the repair group consequently means therefore probably identical operation items are also available. This allows different situations to be shown and multiple invoicing for different activities to be excluded.
When using operation items it is essential to pay attention to the structure of the basic operations (G) and linked operations (V) (operation items with text in brackets at the end).

We would like to clarify the compilation on the example of model 639 "Replace glow plugs" in association with Remove/install cylinder head.
Wrong:
G 01 - 5760 Remove/install cylinder head
G 15 - 4110 Remove/install glow plugs (all), inspect and replace, if necessary
Right:
G 01 - 5760 Remove/install cylinder head
V 15 - 4112 Remove/install glow plugs (all), inspect and replace, if necessary (cylinder head removed)

Storage of all repair documents in a tamperproof manner
Corresponding to the warranty provisions (GHB) the repair orders including all documents describing the damage and repair process and repair scope should be filed in a tamperproof manner. Operations which are required outside or in addition to operation items whose content is clearly described to eliminate the damage should be recorded in terms of scope and sequence in a comprehensible manner.
Workshop findings should always be documented especially in the case of DAS fault reports which are not clear. With voluminous diagnosis operations the diagnosis steps and results (test values and measurement values) should be retained.
It is generally to be ensured that the repair sequence and repair expenditure can be comprehended without any doubt
by means of these documents.
