Remove the brake drum (7) from the wheel hub (2)

Remove the axle shaft (8)

Remove the locking plate (5), the outer slotted nut (6), and the inner slotted nut (4)

Remove the stop washer (3)

Remove the wheel hub (2)

 If any wheel bolt (12) presents any damage, replace it with a new one.

Remove the radial shaft sealing ring (1)



Check

Check the wear on the inner race friction surface

If it presents wear or damages on its friction surface:



The race ring should be removed and replaced with a new one.



Install

Clean the seating surface of the race ring on the wheel head

Install the race ring on the wheel head

.

 Heat the new race ring to approx. 80 °C. Keep the race ring pressed until it gets cold, such that its installation position does not change anymore.

Install the inner tapered roller bearing

 Apply the specified grease quantity.

Install the radial shaft sealing ring (1) in the wheel hub (2)

 Install a new radial shaft sealing ring (1) and apply lubricating grease.

Install the wheel hub (2)

 Take care not to damage the wheel head and the radial shaft sealing ring (1) during the installation of the wheel hub (2).

Install the outer tapered roller bearing

 Apply the specified grease quantity.

Install the inner slotted nut (4)

 Rotate the wheel hub (2) while tightening and apply a few hits in a cross-shaped way on the wheel hub (2) using a rubber hammer.
