Install the dial indicator support together with the dial indicator with a little pre-load.

Set the dial gauge to "zero".

Determine the end play of the wheel hubs' bearings, moving the wheel hub forward and back.

Remove the outer slotted nut with the locking plate, and adjust the wheel hub end play.
If the measured value is divergent:
Follow the adjusting procedure below.

Tighten the inner slotted nut to the specified tightening torque with the respective claw wrench.
Apply blows to the wheel hub with a rubber hammer during the procedure of tightening of the inner slotted nut, in order to seat the bearings.

Loosen the inner slotted nut to the specified angle "A".

Install the dial indicator support together with the dial indicator.

Set the dial indicator to "zero".

Determine the end play of the wheel hubs' bearings, moving the wheel hub forward and back.

Install a new locking plate and tighten the outer slotted nut to the specified tightening torque using the respective claw wrench.

Lock the locking plate by folding their tabs on the two slotted nuts, inner and outer.
