 	Disassemble/assemble
1	Remove shift mechanism
2	Unscrew outer gearshift housing (14) from gearshift tube (8) and remove gasket (13)	 Assembling: Gasket (13) must be renewed.

3	Drive out roll pin (11) of thrust piece (12)
4	Remove pressure piece (12) from gearshift rod (4)	 Assembling: The flat side of the thrust piece (12) must face towards the selector finger in the outer shift housing (14). The opening in the thrust piece (12) must face upwards.
5	Remove circlip (10) from shift shaft (4)
6	Pull gearshift rod (4) from gearshift tube (8), removing bush (9)	 Assembling: Align the spring assembly in the gearshift tube (8) using a suitable drift. Align the marking on the tooth crest of the shift shaft (4) to the cast lug on the inner bearing cap (5).
7	Pull gearshift tube (8) out of inner bearing cap (5)
8	Drive out roll pin (2) of shift finger (3)
9	Detach shift finger (3) and locking bow (1) from shift shaft (4)	 Assembling: Insert the locking bow (1) so that the groove points towards the pilot stud in the transmission. The shift finger (3) must be exactly opposite the marking on the tooth crest of the shift shaft (4).
10	Disassemble gearshift tube (8) and outer bearing cap (7)		AR26.60-T-0011B
11	Disassemble outer gearshift housing (14)		AR26.60-T-6516B
12	Disassemble inner bearing cap (5)		AR26.30-T-6519B
13	Disassemble bearing cap of reverse gear stop		AR26.30-T-6521B
14	Assemble in the reverse order
	Checking
15	Check that selector finger engages in pressure piece (12)
16	Check the center position of the shift finger (3), adjust if necessary	Transmission 714.668	AR26.60-T-0001-03B
