Assemble

Assemble the planetary set (1)

Assemble the radial retainer (10) up to the stopper using the mandrel (12)

 Put synthetic grease on the radial retainer 10).

 Install the radial shaft sealing ring (10) with spring towards the inside (oil side).

Install the liner (11) until the chuck stop (12)

Install the oil filter bushing (24)

 Only when replacing the rear case (9).

Assemble the oil filter (22), the spring (23), the sealing ring (21) and the threaded plug (20)

Install the ball bearing (14)

Put the sliding shoes (2) and assemble the coupling fork (3)

 The indications (arrows) on the shift fork (3) must point to the movement outlet.

 Warning

Risk of injury. Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.

Heat the inner race of the ball bearing (14) and mount it on the rear carcass (9)

 Heat to approx. 100 °C.

 Assemble the rear housing (9) with the heated ball bearing (14), in the planetary assembly (1).

Install the spacer ring (15)

Only vehicles with Code (BA9), secondary retarder Voith R 115.

Assemble the rod (4) with the shift piston (5)

 The coupling fork (3) must fit in the piston rod groove (4).

Install the fork pin (19)

 Assemble the fork pin with chemical bond.

Thread locking agent, Loctite 243 (10 ml)
