Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Remove V-belt for fan drive.

Drain off coolant.



Remove condenser from radiator (4).

Only for vehicles with code F56 (Integrated air conditioning)

Remove coolant hoses (1, 3) from radiator (4).

Remove coolant hose (2).

Remove oil lines (13, 14) from oil lines (15, 16) and collect escaping transmission oil with suitable container.

Seal oil lines (13, 14, 15, 16) with suitable stop plugs.

Remove charge air hoses (5, 6) from charge air cooler (7).

 Installation: Do not mix up charge air hoses (5, 6), install charge air hose (6) at bottom.

Seal openings at charge air hoses (5, 6) and at charge air cooler (7) with suitable rags.

Detach air intake line (9) from bracket (10).

Remove clamp (11) from mounting support (8).

Remove left and right lower screws at mounting support (8).

 Mounting support on radiator unit to elastomer bearing

Remove radiator unit (12) using lifting gear.

Install in the reverse order



Check

Check, correct coolant level.



Check/correct oil level in transmission.

Check engine cooling system for leak tightness.
