1 | Remove bottom engine cover (1) | ||
2 | Remove coupling bolt (3), | ||
3 | Unscrew front bumper (2) at bracket, remove | Pay attention to spacer washers | |
4 | Remove front grill (4) | ||
5 | Remove covering below front grill (5) | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection. | |
6 | Drain coolant | Removal: Remove cap at expansion reservoir | |

7 | Remove engine hood catch with cable | place laterally in vehicle | |
8 | Disconnect electrical connectors at intake air temperature sensor | ||
9 | Detach intake air pipe (8) at air cleaner housing. | ||
10 | Remove charge air pipe (7) at charge air cooler | ||
11 | Remove charge air hose (9) at charge air cooler | ||
12.1 | Detach intake hose to air compressor at air cleaner housing | Engine 602.985 | |
13 | Detach hose at expansion reservoir | ||
14 | Detach upper coolant hose at radiator | ||
15 | Detach lower coolant hose at radiator | ||
16 | Unscrew retaining bolts of front end | ||
17 | Remove front end with radiator unit (6) | ||
18 | Install in the reverse order | ||
19 | Inspect cooling system for leaks |
