3 | Take off intake air line (4) | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection. | |
4 | Drain coolant | Collect coolant in a suitable vessel for this step. | |

5 | Remove compressor coolant lines (5, 6) | ||

6 | Detach compressed air line (3) from compressor | | |
Danger! | Risk of injury to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning from swallowing hydraulic fluid. | Release the pressure in the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. | |
7 | Take off power steering pump | Collect hydraulic oil which flows out in a suitable vessel. | |
8 | Unscrew bolts of compressor cylinder at timing case (2) | | |
9 | Take compressor cylinder and cylinder head off timing case and pull down off the piston | Secure piston to prevent it being damaged by toppling over. | |
Installation: - Oil piston running surface. - Offset ring gaps of piston rings by 120° and compress the piston rings with the piston ring tensioning pliers. | |||
10 | Take off base gasket of compressor cylinder | Installation: - Replace gasket. - Coat separation point of compressor cylinder to timing case with sealant. | |
11 | Install in the reverse order | ||
12 | Filling and bleeding power steering pump | ||
