Only perform operation steps 1 to 7 for removal of the engine
1 | Disconnect electrical connections (7) for transmission wiring harness and unclip at crash plate (22) for high-pressure pump. |
2 | Detach ground line (3) for alternator at longitudinal member at the front. |
3 | Remove contact protection (8) and detach starter/alternator wiring harness (9) on terminal point (10). |
4 | Detach stiffening plate (11) on fender and conduct starter/alternator wiring harness (9). |
5 | Unclip starter/alternator wiring harness (9) on bulkhead and lay to one side on engine. |
6 | Disconnect electrical connection (4, 5) on ME-SFI [ME] control unit and place to one side. |
7 | Unclip vehicle wiring harness at ME-SFI [ME] control unit bracket and place to one side. |

Perform operation steps 8 to 28 for removal of cylinder head covers, the centrifuge or the charge air distributor
8 | Disconnect electrical connection at fuel injectors (Y76) on the right. |
9 | Disconnect electrical connection on multiplug (24). |
10 | Disconnect electrical connection at boost pressure control pressure transducer (Y31/5). |
11 | Disconnect electrical connection on pressure sensor upstream of throttle valve (B28/6) and on pressure sensor downstream of throttle valve (B28/7). |
12 | Disconnect electrical connection on right intake camshaft solenoid (Y49/5) and right exhaust camshaft solenoid (Y49/7). |
13 | Disconnect electrical connection on right intake camshaft Hall sensor (B6/5) and right exhaust camshaft Hall sensor (B6/7). |
14 | Disconnect electrical connection at the ignition coils (T1) on the right. |

15 | Disconnect electrical connection at left divert air switchover valve (Y101/1). |
16 | Disconnect electrical connection on purging pressure sensor (B4/4). |
17 | Disconnect electrical connection on coolant thermostat heating element (R48). |
18 | Disconnect electrical connection on charge air temperature sensor (B17/8). |
19 | Disconnect electrical connection on left intake camshaft solenoid (Y49/4) and left exhaust camshaft solenoid (Y49/6). |
20 | Disconnect electrical connection on left intake camshaft Hall sensor (B6/4) and left exhaust camshaft Hall sensor (B6/6). |
21 | Disconnect electrical connection at the ignition coils (T1) on the left. |
22 | Disconnect electrical connection at fuel injectors (Y76) on the left. |
23 | Disconnect electrical connection on fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B4/25). |
24 | Disconnect electrical connection on throttle valve actuator. |

25 | Expose A/C compressor electrical wiring harness (24) at the extension (arrow). |

26 | Detach ME-SFI [ME] control unit. |
27 | Detach cable duct (23) from engine and place to one side. |
28 | Disconnect electrical connection from A/C compressor electrical wiring harness (24) at A/C compressor. |
