has been replaced by the SW60 software.
The software release for the engine control (MR) control unit can be read out using Star Diagnosis in the "Control unit versions" menu item.

one button (engine start) is still only fitted for starting and stopping the engine when the cab is tilted.
These further technical developments have changed the functions of the engine start and engine stop buttons.

Function of the engine start and stop button as of the SW60 software
Cranking the engine without it starting, e.g. for adjusting the valves continues to be possible if the engine stop button is pressed first and then also the start engine button is pressed

It is only possible to crank the engine without it starting, e.g. for adjusting the valve if the electrical actuation of the unit pumps is switched off beforehand using Star Diagnosis and then the start engine button is pressed.

Engines with 1 button (engine start)

For this reason, Star Diagnosis as of
software release 09, now has a new (Manual compression test) menu item, with which it is possible to switch off all unit pumps.
Switch off unit pumps using Star Diagnosis:
Select MR engine control unit
Select the "Actuations" menu
Select the menu "Manual compression test"
Select the menu item "Switching off or switching on all cylinders"
For software release 60 up to software release 08:
After switching off the ignition or temporarily disconnecting Star Diagnosis, the cutout is no longer active and the engine starts again once the start engine button is pressed.
As of software release 09:
Actuation of the unit pumps is permanently switched off using Star Diagnosis, and can only be switched on again using Star Diagnosis.
The repair/maintenance descriptions stored in the WIS - "Check compression pressure and "Check, adjust valve clearance" have been revised accordingly.
