We would like to hereby inform you that a warm venting routine has been created in XENTRY Diagnosis in addition to the previous venting routine so as to minimize air bubbles in the high-temperature cooling system. This is due to an increasing number of failures in fuel cell major assemblies.
The warm venting routine can only be initiated with an intact or switched-on high-voltage on-board electrical system because the high-voltage PTC heater (N33/5) is actuated during this routine.
For all repairs in which the high-temperature cooling system is affected, the warm venting routine must be performed at the end in addition to the routines carried out in accordance with the valid workshop literature.
Exception:
The previous venting routine is replaced with the new warm venting routine for the yearly replacement of the ion exchanger.
