Bleed coolant circuit after installing heater unit

 Danger !

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Do not operate stationary heater, auxiliary heater or engine with heater booster in closed rooms or when refueling. Allow heater unit to cool down after operation and wear protective gloves.

Retrofitted stationary heater

To do so, open the coolant expansion reservoir cap.

Fill the coolant expansion reservoir with coolant.

Close the coolant expansion reservoir cap.

Set vehicle heating to maximum heat output.

Set air flow control to position "1".

Start engine and warm up to normal operating temperature (80 °C)

 While warming up the engine, check the heater unit and coolant hoses for leaktightness.

Switch off engine.

Check coolant level in coolant expansion reservoir, top up if necessary.
