AR65.10-S-1020-03P | Install side roof paneling and weld in
Danger | The high voltage used for electric welding presents a lethal hazard. Risk of explosion from welding in areas close to highly inflammable materials. Risk of injury from weld splatter and UV-light when welding. Risk of poisoning from inhaling welding gases | Use insulating mats. Wear protective clothing, safety glasses and a protective mask. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Use air extraction system.
Caution | Risk of injury caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts | Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.

Feeler gauge
The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.
S65.10-4637-09
1 | Install and fit side roof paneling (1), doors and sealing frames. |
Commercially available devices/tools |
2 | Check gaps using feeler gauge and adjust. |
3 | Remove doors and sealing frames. |
4 | Side roof paneling (1) (areas A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and J). |
Position resistance spot welds in H and J areas depending on damage severity and as per selected cut. |
5 | Side roof paneling (1) (areas K, L, M, N, O and P). |
S65.10-4638-09
6 | Side roof paneling (1) (areas Q, R and S or areas Q, R and T). |
Inert gas weld is performed (area S or T) depending on damage severity and preparation of new side roof paneling part (1). |
Inert gas weld in intervals and allow to cool down in between. Reduces heat distortion. |
7 | Grind inert gas welds and inert gas spot welds down flat. |
Commercially available devices/tools |
8 | Clean weld joints. |
Commercially available devices/tools |
9 | Restore surfaces on side roof paneling (1) and smooth. |
Different methods can be used to restore the surfaces. |
10 | Remove shavings. |
