For inspection and straightening operations on genuine all-wheel drive suspension strut support, use the suspension-strut mounting consoles for all-wheel drive.
To install new suspension strut supports, the series production vehicle suspension-strut mounting console must be used on the corresponding side of the vehicle, because there are no special all-wheel drive body-in-white parts with appropriate inclination available for the suspension strut support.
After installation, the suspension strut supports must be brought into the correct position using a pulling device for all-wheel drive vehicles.
Example: Vehicle with accident damage on left-hand side. Floor and left suspension strut support must be replaced.
At the right the suspension strut mounting console is mounted for the all-wheel drive and at the left the suspension strut mounting console is mounted for welding in the new parts.
Before installation of the major assemblies (engine, front axle) the left suspension strut support must be pulled to the correct incline angle using a special puller.
