Remove viscous fan coupling

Remove poly V-belt

Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes from scalding with hot coolant which splashes out. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.

Drain coolant

Unscrew bolt + washer (10) and push shock absorber of poly V-belt tensioning device (9) to the side (arrow)

Remove coolant hose (8)

Detach coolant hose (2) at coolant pump and coolant hose (3) at crankcase

Take off supporting strut (5) and place to the side together with plug connection

Detach crankcase ventilation line (7) at power steering pump carrier

Unscrew bolts (arrows) at timing case cover

Unscrew bolts (arrows) to oil-water heat exchanger (1) and take out oil-water heat exchanger (1) to the rear


Collect oil and coolant which flow out.
Installation: Replace seals (4).

Install in the reverse order

Inspect engine oil level, adjust to correct level if necessary
