We would like to notify you that the coolant lines (3) or coolant hoses (4) on the coolant pipes (1) or connection fittings (5) can work their way loose, and in the worst case, they can be completely disconnected. The reasons for this are pre-tension losses and the settling properties of hose clamps (2), coolant hoses (4) or coolant lines (3).

Therefore, the hose clamps (2) must be tightened to the specified torque  .

Suitable special tools for tightening torque:

  Torque wrench (4 Nm ­ 20 Nm)

  Torque driver (2 Nm - 6 Nm)

The existing work instructions on the topic of flushing the engine cooling system are being adapted accordingly.
