No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Switch off ignition

Open filler cap.

Relieve pressure in the fuel tank.

Pinch off fuel lines

Clamp off fuel lines upstream and downstream of fuel filter (1) at rubber connecting hoses (2).

The plastic lines must not be clamped.

Unfasten rubber connection hoses (2) from fuel filter (1) and disconnect

Fuel filter (1) with hose connections

Collect escaping fuel. Seal off connections on fuel filter (1) using plugs.

Installation: Replace rubber connecting hoses (2) according to findings.

Unscrew screw connections (2a) of fuel lines from fuel filter (1)

Fuel filter (1) with screw-in fittings

Collect escaping fuel. Seal off fuel lines and line connections on fuel filter (1) using plugs.

Loosen bolt (3) and remove fuel filter (1) from bracket

Installation: Observe the direction of flow. Arrows on the fuel filter housing indicate the direction of flow.

The adhesive tape on the fuel filter (1) must overlap the bracket by equal amounts on either side.

Install in the reverse order

Start engine

Checking

Check leaktightness of fuel filter (1)

Replace fuel filter
