1 Oil drain screw

 Danger!	Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects.	Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.	AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
1	Warm engine oil up to operating temperature	 Perform oil change only when engine at normal operating temperature.
2	Open engine compartment flap at rear
3	Replace oil filter element	On model 613.358/388 with engine 457.944	AP18.20-T-0100-04BA
		Model 671 with engine 457.942	AP18.20-T-0100-04AA
		 2 filters are fitted, both of which must always be replaced together.
4	Detach lower engine compartment paneling	 Only if the engine oil is drained via the oil drain screw (1).
	Remove/install bottom engine compartment paneling	For model 613.358/388	AR61.20-T-1105B
		On model 671	AR61.20-T-1105AA
5.1	Drain off engine oil completely	 Remove the oil drain screw (1) from the oil pan.
5.2	Suction off engine oil		AP18.00-T-0101-02A
		Engine oil extractor Gotis://S_18.1_0
6	Install and tighten oil drain screw (1)	 Only if the engine oil has been drained via the oil drain screw (1). Clean the oil drain screw (1) and install a new seal ring.

7	Pour in engine oil through oil filler neck		*BF18.00-N-1001-01I
	Checking
 Danger!	Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	 Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
8	Build up oil pressure in engine	 Crank the engine by pressing the Start pushbutton switch (S1/10) and Stop pushbutton switch (S1/11). Pressing both buttons at the same time prevents the engine from starting. The oil pressure indicator lamp must go out after approx. 10 seconds.

9	Start engine
10	Check engine for leaks	 Inspect the engine while it is running and when it has reached operating temperature.
11	Check engine oil level	 Switch off the engine and check the engine oil level after approx. 5 minutes; top up the engine oil if necessary.

12	Close engine compartment flap at rear
13	Install lower engine compartment paneling.	 Only if the engine oil has been drained via the oil drain screw (1).
