Extract steering gear oil from the steering gear reservoir

Unscrew high pressure expansion hose and return line from steering gear

 Collect steering gear oil which runs out in a suitable container and dispose of oil in a manner to suit the environment.

Crank steering from the right to the left

 Collect steering gear oil which runs out in a suitable container and dispose of oil in a manner to suit the environment.



Fill

5

Screw high pressure expansion hose and return line onto steering gear

 Observe installation position of seal.

Full up steering reservoir with steering gear oil

 Do not fill the steering gear oil above the max. mark.



Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

When the engine is running turn the from right to left and top up oil level permanently in container

 Carry out the work until no more air bubbles appear in the reservoir.

Perform oil level check and correct if necessary

Check steering system for leaks
