Remove rear axle shaft (3).

Remove retaining ring (3s) from rear axle shaft (3).

If the rear axle shaft (3) is reused.

 Installation: Install a new retaining ring (3s).



Check

Check constant velocity joints for play.

If the rear axle shaft (3) is reused.

If axial or radial play is present:



Replace rear axle shaft (3).

Check radial shaft sealing ring for damage and leakage.

If damage or leaks are present:



Replace radial shaft sealing ring.
