Remove/install

Put transmission into neutral position.

Turn steering wheel to center position (front wheels in straight-ahead position) and fix steering wheel in place using holding device.

 Select menu item "Actuations" in active suspension and damping system control unit.

 Installation: Transfer pneumatic pressure from the central reservoir into the suspension struts using the diagnostic system.

Drain the hydraulic pressure lines of the electrohydraulic suspension using guided diagnosis.

 Installation:
Before positioning the screws (16), use lifting platform to move the front axle to its final installation position. Do not move front axle into position by tightening the screws (16).
The threaded connections can otherwise fail.

 Installation: Align front axle with body using drift set before tightening screws (16, 18).
