Remove/install

Detach oil lines (1, 2) from oil cooler and cooler

AR27.55-S-1000E


Do not kink or bend the oil lines (1, 2).
Leaks and damage may occur otherwise.

 Do not remove oil cooler. Seal connections, collect escaping gear oil in a suitable container.

 Record plug

Remove left engine mount

Remove engine compartment paneling

Remove front anti-roll bar

Remove engine cross member at rear

Detach upper parts of double clamps from oil lines (1, 2) on A/C compressor, transmission and oil pan

 To do so, remove each bolt from each upper section.

Remove heat shield (4)

 To do this, undo bolt.

 Installation: The heat shield (4) must be located below the leaf spring.

Detach oil lines (1, 2)


Do not kink or bend the oil lines (1, 2).
Leaks and damage may occur otherwise.

 Collect transmission oil which runs out in a suitable container.

 Installation: Install new seals.

Detach oil line (3)

MODEL 447 with CODE ZG2 (Permanent all-wheel drive)

Do not kink or bend oil line (3).
Leaks and damage may occur otherwise.

 Collect transmission oil which runs out in a suitable container.

 Installation: Replace seal.

Remove oil lines (1, 2, 3) downward



Check

Check oil line (3) of output shaft housing

MODEL 447 with CODE ZG2 (Permanent all-wheel drive)

 The oil line (3) must be fitted with an oil restrictor with filter screen.

If an oil restrictor with filter screen is not fitted.



Replace oil line (3) with an oil line (3) with an oil restrictor and filter screen.
