 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Drain off

Remove cap from coolant expansion reservoir.

Remove bottom engine compartment paneling.

Slide suitable hose onto fitting (3).

Loosen drain screw (2) until the coolant drains off.

 Collect coolant with a suitable container.

Remove drain screw (2) completely.

Check O-ring of drain screw (2) for damage.

If damage is identified,



Install new drain screw(2).

Screw in drain screw (2).

Detach hose from fitting (3).

Lower vehicle.
