 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Remove exhaust gas recirculation.

Remove bypass flap (1).

Remove housing (5).

Remove coolant hoses (3, 4) from the exhaust gas recirculation cooler (2).

If the exhaust gas recirculation cooler (2) is replaced.

 Installation: Check clamps.

 Hose clamp pliers

Depending on the findings,



replace the affected clamp.

Remove the exhaust gas recirculation cooler (2) from the vise.

 Installation: Use protective jaws.

Install in the reverse order.
