2	Secure automatic transmission on assembly stand.		AR27.10-S-0600-01EA

4	Remove torque converter.		AR27.20-S-0500-01EA

5	Remove radial shaft sealing ring (4).		AR27.40-S-0301EA
6	Remove screws (2, 5).
7	Remove spur pinion cap (3).	 Carefully pry off spur pinion cap (3) at lugs only (arrows). The sealing surfaces can be damaged otherwise.
8	Remove drive gear (7), chain (8) and oil pump gear (9) together.
9	Remove seal (6).
10	Remove oil pump (10) from outer plate carrier.		AR27.10-S-0400-02EA

	Clean
11	Clean sealing surfaces on spur pinion cap (3) and on torque converter housing (1).	Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
	Check
12	Check O-rings of the oil pump (10) for damage.	If the O-rings are damaged,
		
		replace oil pump (10).
	Install
13	Install oil pump (10) in outer plate carrier.		AR27.10-S-0400-02EA

14	Install drive gear (7), chain (8) and oil pump gear (9) together.	 Check that chain (8) is correctly seated on drive gear (7) and oil pump gear (9). Otherwise mounting problems may occur.
15	Install new seal (6).
16	Install spur pinion cap (3).
17	Screw in new bolts (2, 5).	 Bolt, spur pinion cap to transmission housing	*BA27.10-N-1005-06EA
		 Bolt, spur pinion cap to external plate carrier	*BA27.10-N-1006-06EA
18	Install new radial shaft sealing ring (4).		AR27.40-S-0301EA
19	Insert torque converter.		AR27.20-S-0500-01EA
		 Commercially available devices/tools Digital vernier caliper
		Protrusion of torque converter to torque converter housing	*BE27.20-N-1001-01EA
		Long-life grease	*BR00.45-Z-1001-06A
