 Danger!

Risk of explosion caused by escaping natural gas or by overheated compressed-gas tanks when working on natural gas powered vehicles. Risk of frostbite to body parts caused by escaping natural gas and by touching components near the valves when emptying compressed-gas tanks. Risk of poisoning or risk of suffocation caused by inhaling natural gas.

Remove any sources of ignition.

Ensure that the work area is adequately ventilated.

Wear heat protective gloves.

Check the natural gas level in the gas system, refill the gas system if necessary

 If the natural gas reserve is depleted, this is indicated on the instrument cluster.

If one of the threaded connections is open on the high-pressure lines of the natural gas system, then the gas line between the check valve and filler connection will be unpressurized, even when the gas cylinder is opened again. In order to fill the gas line in this area, the gas system must be filled.

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Start engine and allow to idle

Select gas operation mode by operating the gas/gasoline selection switch

 The injection system switches automatically to gas operation, and this is indicated by the indicator lamp lighting up in the gas/gasoline selection switch. Gas operation is only possible starting from a coolant temperature of about 30 °C.

Switch off the engine and check the gas system for leaktightness in accordance with the national regulations
