Risk of explosion caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contactwith fuel.

No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Remove

1

Remove upper section of right and left air filter housing.



Turn locks (2) counterclockwise until end stop.

Remove leak oil line (1) from fuel injectors and collect escaping fuel with suitable rag.

Remove left rail.

Remove clip (3).

Remove connection piece (1.1) from return line and collect escaping fuel with suitable rag.

Release leak oil line (1) from guides (arrows) and remove.

Check leak oil line (1) for damage.

 A leak oil line (1) can only be fully replaced.

If damage is determined



Replace leak oil line (1).



Install

Replace sealing rings at connection fittings of fuel injectors.

Route leak oil line (1) at engine and position in guides (arrows).

Insert connection piece (1.1) in return line and secure with clip (3).

Connect leak oil line (1) at fuel injectors and turn locks (2) clockwise until end stop.

 Leak oil line (1) must audibly engage at connection fittings of fuel injectors.

Install left rail.

Install upper section of right and left air filter housing.



 Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and check leak oil line (1) for leaks.
