Efficient troubleshooting with STAR Diagnosis.

All diagnosable electronics components (control modules) must be read out via STAR DIAGNOSIS with regard to the fault code.

With problems with the electrical system/electronics, it is possible that no fault is displayed, although a defect clearly exists.

For efficient troubleshooting, the actual values of the corresponding systems must be read out and compared with the specified values or actual value explanations. Only in this way is it possible to draw conclusions on the existing causes of faults.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For answering queries, the following data is always necessary:

- Vehicle ident number

- Initial quick test log

- Stored fault codes

- Fault freeze frame data

- Actual values

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In this context, it is important that the adapters available in the jack box, that correspond to the jack and pins in the vehicle cable set, must always be used.

Only then can the actual measured value potential at the opposite pole be determined and a precise diagnosis be ensured.

If a control module is not detected by the diagnosis, first by using the circuit diagrams the voltage supply of the control module must be checked and correct contacting in the diagnostic socket must be ensured.

Picking up the measured values at the rear of the jack or directly from the lines may lead to incorrect results!
