Switch off seat heater, function

Function requirements:

 Circuit 15R ON

 Heated seats (SIH) system is activated

 No overvoltage or undervoltage

Heating stage 1 of the SIH system is deactivated by pressing the left front SIH switch (N72/1s2) or the right front SIH switch (N72/1s10) up again. This is indicated by the one light emitting diode (LED) in the left front SIH switch (N72/1s2) or the right front SIH seat (N72/1s10) going out.

Heating stage 2 of the SIH system is deactivated by pressing the left front SIH switch (N72/1s2) or the right front SIH switch (N72/1s10) down again. This is indicated by the 2 LEDs in the left front SIH switch (N72/1s2) or the right front SIH seat (N72/1s10) going out.

The upper control panel control unit (N72/1) reads the signals of the left front SIH switch (N72/1s2) or the right front SIH switch (N72/1s10) and interrupts the power output, i.e. the circuit that heats up the hot wire, to the following heating elements:

 Heated cushion, left front seat (R13/1)

 Heated cushion, left front backrest (R13/2)

 Heated cushion, right front seat (R13/3)

 Heated cushion, right front backrest (R13/4)

 Heating stage 2 of the SIH is switched to heating stage 1 automatically after t = 5 min.

Automatic Off of the SIH after an aborted starting procedure

Function prerequisites:

 Circuit 15R OFF

 Circuit 15C ON

The upper control panel control unit (N72/1) interrupts the power output to the following heating elements. This is indicated by the LEDs in the left front SIH switch (N72/1s2) or right front SIH switch (N72/1s10) going out:

 Heated cushion, left front seat (R13/1)

 Heated cushion, left front backrest (R13/2)

 Heated cushion, right front seat (R13/3)

 Heated cushion, right front backrest (R13/4)

The time interval of heating stage 2 of the SIH is paused. If the status "Circuit 15R ON" is activated again within t = 30 s, the SIH is activated in the previously active heating stage without the need to actuate the left front SIH switch (N72/1s2) or right front SIH switch (N72/1s10) again.

If the status "Circuit 15C OFF" is activated, the SIH is deactivated.

Automatic Off of the SIH during the starting procedure

Function requirements:

 C. 15X OFF

The upper control panel control unit (N72/1) interrupts the power output to the following heating elements. The LEDs in the left front SIH switch (N72/1s2) or right front SIH switch (N72/1s10) remain lit:

 Heated cushion, left front seat (R13/1)

 Heated cushion, left front backrest (R13/2)

 Heated cushion, right front seat (R13/3)

 Heated cushion, right front backrest (R13/4)

If the upper control panel control unit (N72/1) detects the status "Circuit 15X ON", the SIH is activated in the previously active heating stage again with a delay of 2 s.

Automatic Off of the SIH with unstable neutral

Function prerequisites:

 Terminal 61 ON

 Signal "Neutral unstable"

The upper control panel control unit (N72/1) interrupts the power output to the following heating elements. The LEDs in the left front SIH switch (N72/1s2) or right front SIH switch (N72/1s10) remain lit:

 Heated cushion, left front seat (R13/1)

 Heated cushion, left front backrest (R13/2)

 Heated cushion, right front seat (R13/3)

 Heated cushion, right front backrest (R13/4)

If the upper control panel control unit (N72/1) detects the signal "Neutral stable", the SIH is activated in the previously active heating stage again.

Automatic switching off with battery voltage  11 V

Function prerequisites:

 Circuit 15R ON

 SIH activated

 Undervoltage  11 V lasts longer than t = 3 s

The upper control panel control unit (N72/1) interrupts the power output to the following heating elements. This is indicated by the LEDs in the left front SIH switch (N72/1s2) or right front SIH switch (N72/1s10) flashing:

 Heated cushion, left front seat (R13/1)

 Heated cushion, left front backrest (R13/2)

 Heated cushion, right front seat (R13/3)

 Heated cushion, right front backrest (R13/4)

 If the undervoltage  11 V lasts longer than t = 30 s, an error is stored in the upper control panel control unit (N72/1).

 If an overvoltage  15 V lasts longer than t = 3 s, the SIH is deactivated immediately. The LEDs in the left front SIH switch (N72/1s2) or right front SIH switch (N72/1s10) go out.
