N35 STH warm air timer

Heater operation is activated directly using the heater (A7) STH warm air timer (N35) or by preselection. The glow pin (A7r1) is activated. The hot air blower fan motor (A7m1) and the warm air STH fuel metering pump (M46/2) operate at low speed. If the temperature of the heat exchanger is higher than the selected interior temperature, then only the hot air blower fan motor (A7m1) (cold blow phase) runs initially. When the residual heat has dissipated, the starting procedure commences. After approximately t = 60 sec. the warm air STH fuel metering pump (M46/2) starts and feeds the fuel into the burner tube through the burner insert. The hot air blower fan motor (A7m1) delivers fresh air to the burner tube . A fuel-air mixture is formed in the burner tube, which ignites on the glow pin (A7r1).

Once combustion is detected, the hot air blower fan motor (A7m1) and warm air STH fuel metering pump (M46/2) are continuously regulated upwards to match the set heat output.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Following flame detection on the overheating and flame sensor unit (A7r3) and after stabilization of the combustion, the glow pin (A7r1) is deactivated after t = 80 s.

The fuel-air mixture then ignites automatically on the hot walls of the burner. If no proper combustion occurs within t = 90 sec. the above-mentioned startup procedure is repeated. If the heater (A7) fails to ignite following a further t = 90 s, then a fault shutoff occurs. The warm air STH fuel metering pump (M46/2) is no longer actuated and the hot air blower fan motor (A7m1) runs on for t = 4 min.

Following an impermissible number of failed start attempts, the warm air STH control unit (A7n1) is locked, i.e. the heater (A7) can no longer be switched on.

If the flame goes out during operation, a new start is performed.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The fault shutoff also occurs if the flame goes out again within
t = 15 min. The warm air STH fuel metering pump (M46/2) is no longer actuated and the hot air blower fan motor (A7m1) runs on for t = 4 min.

Briefly deactivating and activating (maximum 2 times) the heater unit (A7) will cancel the fault shutoff.

Once combustion is stable, the heater unit (A7) operates at maximum heat output until the selected operating temperature is reached.

In the event of a defective glow pin (A7r1), a defective hot air blower fan motor (A7m1) or an interrupted electrical line of the warm air STH fuel metering pump (M46/2), the heater (A7) is not switched on.

Manual operation without timer

Activate heater (A7)

The ON/OFF button for the auxiliary heater (35) must be pressed. Activation in continuous operation is indicated in the display field (31) of the warm air STH switch clock (N35) by displaying "Stationary heater mode" (28).

Setting the heat output

The temperature is increased by turning the heat output control knob (32) to the left. The temperature is decreased by turning the heat output control knob (32) to the right.

Setting the heating time

Function requirements:

Heater (A7) deactivated

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After pressing and holding the "Decrease" button (34) for t = 3 s, until the "Time, switch-on time and outside temperature" multiple display (29) flashes on and off, and by subsequently releasing the "Decrease" button (34) before pressing it again, then the heating period can be shortened; by pressing the "Increase" button (33), the heating period can be extended .

The heating time has been saved when the "Time, switch-on time and outside temperature" (29) multiple display goes off.

Program timer

Set switch-on time

Select one of the numbers in the "Activated switch-on times" display (30) in the display field (31) of the warm air STH switch clock (N35) by pressing the "Switch-on time, weekday and timer" button (36) several times.

The switch-on time is indicated by flashing. The switch-on time can be set by pressing the "Increase" (33) or "Decrease" button (34). Then the required day of the week can be set by pressing the "Increase" button (33) or the "Decrease" button (34) when the "Weekday" display (26) flashes.

A maximum of 3 switch-on times can be set on the STH warm air timer (N35).
